Christmas, New Year's, and YouTube
I had a wonderful Christmas at the Mizell house. Nothing like gathering together to give gifts to the people you love most. With the New Year round the corner, it's exciting to know that my book will be in the hands of my betas early 2016. I can't wait for feedback, both good and bad.
Speaking of the New Year, my wife and I are deciding how we'll change our world. We've decided to learn Krav Maga. Priscilla has always wanted to learn self-defense and it would help me clean up my fight scenes. When I was younger, I went through a year of Karate. It was short-lived. There was a beautiful woman 10 years my senior with long legs and a large bosom. Being an awkward teenager, I feared having to spar with her. Unfortunately, I was the tallest of the other students and quite literally the only one suited to grapple with her. I remember the teacher yelling, "Stop apologizing, Mizell. Hitting her is sort of the point." Later I asked if I could spar with someone else because I found it hard sparring when her (I gestured around my chest) were always in the way. He laughed, saying, "She's not worried about it. Why should you be?" I thought he was crazy. All that to say, I'm looking forward to learning a martial art without the awkwardness of youth.
Something else I'll be starting this next year is allowing my alters to join the outside world through the use of YouTube. Mica loves playing games, so he'll record himself playing Diablo III. Six hates games, so naturally I'm going to torture him by forcing him to play Heroes of the Storm. No worries, I'll reward him with time writing on the outside. I'll also be playing games, but I believe theirs will be the most interesting. Mica is all energy and I find him hilarious while Six is all snark. It could be a lot of fun. Jerusalem said he might record a little, but isn't really interested in doing it often. He'd much rather hang out with Priscilla watching movies. As for the others, they are content staying inside.
Be at peace and keep writing. You can only get better.
